Front Door Locks

I was going down a pretty busy road, doing 60 MPH and was playing with my door handle and I pulled it a little too far and the door opened! Freaked me out. So I was worried that the door locks weren't working right.
So tonight on the way home from work, I was on the expressway and I was doing 80 MPH, I made sure all the doors were locked and I pulled my door handle, and sure enough my door opened!
This can't be normal? Anyone else notice a similar problem?

1st- I think that it is normal. My Koup does it too, and many other cars I've owned will let you open the door from the inside even if it's locked. May be some kind of safety feature so you can get out of the car in an emergency. 2nd- Why do you play with your door handle when you are traveling so fast...:D
This thread is a perfect example of why companies have to protect themselves from lawsuits by making inane statements. Looks like Kia needs to hurry and put this in the owners manual: Do not attempt to open the door while driving your car. Opening the door while driving can lead to injury or death. You should only attempt to open a door when the vehicle is completely stopped. Kia is not responsible for drivers or passengers opening doors while the car is in motion (travelling forwards or backwards, to include roll-overs or while crashing into another car). LOL!!!
My '04 Grand Cherokee doesn't do that but not all auto manufacturers are the same.

That's funny. But seriously, why are you opening your door while driving? And not once, but twice. Next thing you know, you'll be pulling your hatch releases and watching the contents of your trunk litter the highway. You don't live in Las Vegas. That's something people out here would do.
i think we need some child saftey locks for the front doors lol jk jk but yea dont open ur door doin 80 not good but to answer the ? the door will open at any speed from the inside
