Is your car DCT or manual? I am wondering if the folks that aren't having the issue have the DCT? In any case I'm ordering the solenoid today.
Before I got the GFB I had a SXTH element that is 100% to atmosphere for about 6 weeks. No codes with it either. DCT... GT2

I am wondering if it is less of a problem with the DCT, mine is a manual and it's going to use that valve more often than on a DCT due to shift times. Not the first I've heard this happening either, just heard that it was when one had it on full vent. But like I was saying it doesn't matter if I am at full vent, 50/50 or full recirculate, it just changes the amount of time before I throw a code and lose boost.
Could be because it's a manual, but a DTC is basically a computer operated manual that shifts faster than a normal person could. But it doesn't matter even if I shift it manually. Could just a bad batch of solenoids. Seems to be hit or miss on the code. Some of us are good and others are not.

Sorry forgot to hit on this too, you are right there however, I wonder if that part is the environment in which you are driving? If I am easy on it, it doesn't happen, but any spirited driving I can count on it throwing the code.
Another possibility is altitude. It does make a difference in timing and fuel ratio.

So I have tried it in a bunch of different variations. I had it set to 100% vent, 70% vent, 50% vent, 30% vent, and even 0% vent, all with similar results. The more I vented, the faster the CEL happened and I lost boost. I am at 50/50 now, which you can still hear it clearly, and I know, may or may not be any performance gains I know, I just honestly like the sound.
Mine came at 50/50 and I do have the recirc hose connected with no issues.
