I got all the tools I need for the strut change but I honestly do not know where to put the spring compressors on at. All of the videos are a bit different on YouTube. Kia struts look much do different from the videos
I swapped them. I bought KYB strut plus (all done including spring). Easier. Less time.
As for your spring compressor, how it grabs depends on compressor.
I have used KYB on other vehicles. I think the ride is good, OEM like, and there are no squeaks. Firm and confident. If you're keeping it, I feel KYB is the way to go. I have them on a high mileage Accord, did a 2010 odyssey with them too.
