UPDATE! Covers Completed! Help! I need some opinions on Caliper Colors.

I'm thinking of painting or getting some caliper covers for my Sedan SX. The problem is I'm not sure which direction to go for a color.

Red is probalbly the most common choice, which is one of the reasons it's low on my list. I like the original silver color of the calipers, but I know it won't last so I need to cover them. Heres' my thoughts so far...

1) Color Match (Korsa Blue/Electric Blue Metallic)
2) Silver
3) Gloss Black
4) Red

Take a look at eh picture below and give me your opinions. Thanks.

I'd go with blue since its new and unique, i haven't seen many blue calipers. I think red is overused, not that it doesn't look badass, but it's still overused. Just my opinion, in the end, it's all up to you. Try to get one of the members to Photoshop both colors and decide. I am Def not up for black or silver
BigE, I would go with the color match look but if you really want to stand out, go with a bright color like yellow. That would look pretty cool but I don't know how much you want your calipers to stand out. I personally have red calipers becuz I like how it looks on my bright silver koup.
I love black. But then again my sedan is black. Doesn't stand out as much as red would but it's more subtle.

For your ride I say blue/black/silver

No to the red
id go with the color match for you too.. im going to be buying some black rims for my copperhead koup pretty soon.. and im also debating caliper colors between black or color matching copperhead
I had mine red for a while but I really didn't like as much as when I first painted them so I decided to paint them yellow and they turned out great! They'd stand out real good against your blue car and chrome wheels. But of the options you've listed, blue is my choice. My 2 cents
I also have the Corsa Blue sedan and I know I'm going blue once I get new rims. Where would you go to color match the caliper paint though?
I have never been happier with the Caliper covers I got. And I would go matching corsa blue.

Photo shop the cover if you would like. I tried getting a good close up for you.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll be going with the color matched blue from MPG just like WandersX.

I've already got a response from MGP saying they can color match so I'll probably go this route as well.

Cheers!:D
That's gonna look great. Post pics as soon as you get them!
Yeah I really wanna see how the Blue will look. One thing though to keep note of, DO NOT GO THROUGH CAR ID.com!

They have the worst customer service imaginable.

Thanks for that info, I am planning to go with MPG directly.
yellow wd be nice but for my piont keep it as it is (silver)
Go Blue and get the Forte lettering to go with it either white or black lettering. Definitely not black since you wouldn't even see the calipers with the dark wheel shadows.
Looking forward to seeing the results. That's a great choice!

dude-so glad my yellow trim is still gonna be rocking...
The blue sounds like it will look good, get some Forte lettering on it so it looks OEM. A silver with blue lettering would also look great. It would match the wheels really nicely.
First look at the new Caliper Covers installed!

I finally got around to installing my custom caliper covers from MGP.

A special thanks to FEARtheFOX for getting me a graphic that MGP could use for the custom engraving.

I had them custom painted in Corsa Blue to match the car and custom engraved with the Forte logo and then had my vinyl guy cover them in 3M clear with a special polymer coating to keep them looking good for years to come.

I only managed one good picture before I had to put on the snows but it gives a good idea of the finished product.

I know the next question is going to be how much did they cost? With custom paint, engraving, shipping, duty & tax and vinyl, approx $650 for the 4. Not cheap, but then not common either.

Sharp looking and the best part is it reduces brake dust. If you go back to stock rims beware of clipping issues. They mentioned they offer free spacers that fit behind the wheel to prevent that. I would look into it so you can protect your investment. Just in case. Love it though...!

Thanks, but they seem to clear my aftermarket wheels and the original SX rims with room to spare.

I'm running my snows on the stock SX rims BTW.
