Tire pressure monitor, (AKA, TPMS) only tells you when your pressure drops below certain level (i think its 28 PSI), otherwise, you'll have to check it yourself.

you can get one of those cool valve caps that change color when pressure is too low or too high.

Lol thanks for the astute observation. But if our new member is newer to the car world it's possible they are recalling part of a conversation incorrectly or got bad info from the sales guy. Checking tire pressure manually is usually a standard drivers ed topic.

Under further investigation I found how to do it....you have to follow it exactly how I tell you or it doesn't work....start the car, let it sit for exactly 22 seconds, with the radio on, hit the pre-set buttons in this order...3,1,5,3,2,2,2,4...now count down to 6 seconds, and hit the high beams 3 times, and now hit the horn 4 times each for 1 full second, then wait 2 seconds and press the horn for 5 seconds, then press the bluetooth button and say the command to the Bluetooth..."eye em, sofa king, we Todd id" and then a voice will tell you how much air you have in the tire. Good luck!!! :)

My light illuminates when that happens as well as if the tires all around aren't in the same general area. e.g. about a month ago all my tires were 35PSI except the front driver which read 31PSI. Maybe it was just my gauge...
