Did Kia used the worst plastics ever that let no light through so you can actually read the fluid levels? I can't figure out for the life of me what is my coolant or brake reservoir levels. Does the dealership uses special tools to check the level to make sure they are proper? (or do they even check?)

See pictures. I tried shining the light in different ways to try and figure out but nothing.

The containers have some form of full & low/add level indicators & or thick braille style indicators. You have to look, really look at it.

You can also use paint pen to mark the full & add.

Shining the light from the side is the trick.

I find that removing the filler cap and shinning a light into the container and viewing the level from the side also works

I usually put a small flashlight up against the reservoir to light up the fluid inside to see where it is.

This looks like needing to add coolant. When coolant level is near the F mark, you'll see it, especially if it is coloured.

Mine is a 2015, hence why I posted into the 2014+. Looks like the previous generation was easier to see through. In this one it's a pita.

I'll try shining the light from the side or inside and see what I can see. Thanks
