I have an opportunity to buy a very nice 2010 Forte SX Sedan 6 speed manual with 114,000km’s. It’s a couple hours away so I thought I’d post here first before I make the trip to possibly buy it. It’s at a used car dealer and they said it’s mint and engine is mint with no ticking or any other noise. Also said that issue was mostly in in 2.0 engine. Anyway, in the grand scheme of the 2.4l, how bad is it? 1 in 10? 1 in 20? 1 in 1000?

Had a 2010 Forte SX w/2.4 until 2017 (traded in on 2017 Optima) - 7+years no issues at all.
BTW my family has had 2 2010 Forte EXs with 2.0 also. One traded in on 2014 Mustang GT (NO issues - wanted more power) the other is still being driven by Granddaughter today - NO issues
If the car is properly maintained there's nothing to keep them from running a long time..
