Anybody out there who's purchased the shark fin antenna for the koup from Korean Auto Imports?? Mine just got here and I'm lookin for some pointers. I searched the DIY section but couldn't find anything specific to the KAI shark antenna. Unfortunately, i gotta out and get a couple of pieces of 3m doublesided tape(since there was none underneath - ??)
It seems like it's too small an opening on the underside to fit over the base of the antenna presently on the car. Any pointers on installation/how to remove antenna base?

Is it a functioning antenna or a dummy one? You tried fitting the shark fin over the antenna base and it didn't fit? I wouldn't recommend removing the base.

It's a dummy......maybe I am too for buyin it....lol......yeah I think I'm gonna have to remove the base somehow........anybody had to remove it before?

Make them send you a functional antenna. I wouldn't remove the base.

either that or ask for your money back and buy the markII from sharkfinantenna.com. that is a functioning antenna AND it fits over the base

Yeah I'm pretty sure that one is a dummy... i remember someone with a koup from korea telling me about that... I found another one that looks nice and classy...but i would not know how to go about installing this....

I've emailed about the antenna issue askin what I'm supposed to do(about the base). No response yet. I'm not too worried about this as far as functionality goes. I discontinued the sirius anyways recently.
I'm getting my Sequence GT Spoiler Installed by a pro on monday, i'm gonna throw the antenna issue in his lap. He said he'd take care of it. Hopefully I'll have some pics up by the end of next week. Some more decals to come, then FINITO for this round of mods.

Nice dude i just got my GT spoiler in im just waiting to do the install... are you painting it all one color or 2 like in the pics?

I just got my seqence spoiler painted all racing red, one tone, it looks a lot better than the picture. Still haven't installed it yet though, I'm going to install my sub, shark fin antenna and spoiler at the same time

mine's gonna be the 2-tone(white/black) like the pic........DAMN, i think there's 4 of us now with the Spec GT spoiler(that I know of)..........we thought we saw a few heads turn to check our Koups out - just WAIT til we get our spoilers on........then their jaws will be dropping, sunglasses come down and they'll be lookin to jack-it right there..........pics hopefully up 2moro night.......i gotta take a break from modding for a bit, i've been SO keen on gettin it done.....gotta relax the bank account.....
