Is this normal?

its normal, you can change the brightness of the dash if you want. the setting all the way dwn after it clicks id the brightest.. and its bright!

There is a little think u can adjust it with. On the left side of ur steering wheeling near traction button!

Like others have said, it goes dimmer to preserve your night vision.
You can make it brighter with the little wheel to the left of your "ESC Off" buttom.
