Had my JVC unit installed yesterday. The thing is all I could have hoped for. The Sirius is great. Bluetooth is very nice and I love that I can stream my music straight from my Iphone4. I also bought the steering wheel control interface and the buttons are just as reactive as they were with the stock radio. The GPS is very nice and has so many features that it may take weeks to figure out. Overall I am very happy with this unit.
Not to good at doing the link thing so I'll just do it this way and hopefully it will help you.*
- the unit is a JVC KW-NT3HDT. Got it from Crutchfield.*
- for the Sirius sat I used the SCC-1 and JVC KS-Sra100. Both from amazon.*
-the metra dash kit came from installer.com. Part # 99-7338HG. if you want black or silver for the dash just replace the "HG" with either a "B" or "S".*
- the vehicle specific cable is part # 70-7303, also from installer.com.*
-for the steering wheel interface I used the AXXESS ASWC from Sonicelectric.com
-the antenna adapter is part # 40-KI11, also from Sonicelectric.com.*
I lost the Bluetooth functionality on the wheel (command, answer, and end call) not sure there's an interface cable out that will let you keep it but I could be wrong.
^^^ yeah same here, I want to get all the steering wheel controls working but because of how the system is set up the closest I can get is to have the answer button to work. Unless you get a KIA manufactured unit its highly unlikely that you will get a 100% working unit.
It would have been nice to have all of the wheel controls working but once I found this JVC unit I just couldn't wait any longer. Did I mention that it also has a detachable face? A nice peace of mind for sure.
I had the choice between the unit I purchased and the one you have for the same price. No clue which was better, but that definitely looks nice. I just like the Pioneer name for decks. Wish I would have researched this one a little more as well.
