Very nice looking! I've heard the door panel can be a pain to remove, any truth to this?

The door panel is not an issue at all, one screw under the handle, one in the "hand" pocket, one on the outside edge of the panel, and one hidden one (im trying to figure how to explain it) its under the chrome moulding, here is a pic...the rest is just held by clips.

Screws in red, clips in green, undo the screws, pop the clips and lift up on the door panel, remove the wires and stuff.....and its off.

Thanks alot! Those JL's sound Phenomenal! Im very pleased with them, dynamat the doors is next.

I can second what D113 said about adding a 4 Channel Amp and also Dynamat, my system sounds incredible now, speakers definate improvement but a new Amp 100% improvement.
Was wondering D113 where did you fit your Amp...I had no room under back parcel shelve thx's to the two bars there, so mounted mine under passemger seat

Lol behind the seats... Roflmao!

I guess you didn't see the teaser pics?

I don't haw my 6040 split anymore, and halfmy trunk is gone :)

The trunk in the pic above looks quite plain above the 10W6v2's. There's something there now... but I'm hiding that for the meetup :p

What JL components did you go with (size/model)?

How's the sound with the stock HU vs. the stock speakers?
JL VR 6.5s, I notice a huge difference already, although with the stock head unit they ARE under powered and defiantly need an amp! which is coming after the Dynamat.

How are the mids and lows though? Pretty much non-existent with factory HU?

Have been looking for componant upgrades that would work with the stock HU and still retain decent mids and lows on the stock HU.

The JL's have a great Midrange. Right now I have my Fade at +7 to the fronts cause I cant stand the sound out of the rears compared to the VR's.

Cant wait to get an amp on these bad boys!
