I'm not brand spanking new to the Kia family, being as I leased my Forte Koup SX (Racing Red) three months ago. But I did just find this forum. I hail from Long Island, NY.

My baby's name is Ginger. I thought it was an appropriate name. That's her in my avatar. I love her to death, but she's actually already been a bit of a headache, and cost me a ton of money. I got my first speeding ticket with her two weeks after I brought her home. It was allegedly well over the speed limit (I was seriously going with the flow of traffic, but I also happen to be driving a red sports coupe), but have since gotten it taken care of thanks to an exorbitantly priced lawyer who brought it down to a failure to yield violation.

Then, I got a scratch on the bumper, which I haven't fixed yet, but will need to. And finally, I got a bubble in tire, and had to get it replaced.

She turns heads, and I've had quite a lot of strangers come to me and tell me how nice my car is (which is why I got it over a Civic, Scion tC, or other comparable car). So, although she's been a pain in the ass, there has been a bit of payoff.

Welcome to the site. I feel your pain on the car costing money. I have had to spend $800 on repairs and I havent even made my first payment yet. But that was because I hit something in the road (think it was a pothole) and had to replace the struts and a tire.

At least I have avoided the speeding tickets.

Amadeo - the gf named my Koup Ginger as well...though, she's of the Copperhead complexion.... ha ha.
