thought i'd put this up here too, not aftermarket, but you can get any kia accessories much cheaper than your dealership. I ordered the hood protector from them. i think i'll get a paint pen also.
Thanks guys! This is a great thread.... I assume we're going to see a whole lot of new parts at SEMA this week, and maybe even some factory performance program from Kia. Would be great if it was similar to what SRT does for the Dodge Neon / Caliber / etc
Keep your eyes "peeled" for a hood strut kit -- to get rid of the holding rod.

I just ordered the elite for my Koup and the regular one for my Sedan...will let you know how they turn out.:)
Any one knows about a short shifter yet??? And will a cerato one work??
Sport lowering springs are now available from H&R springs. Hurray!! :)

Sounds like time for an early Christmas gift to myself
I can talk to a guy I know that owns a tuner shop and see if he is interested in parts for the Forte. If he is he might need a couple guys from the SoCal area to stop by to see the cars, he would also gauge interest in parts. I will let you guys know what he said.
Thanks for posting this MaxD..

RedlineTuning Hood lift kit installed on my Koup:

No more hood bar!!!

Install instructions are very good.

Need:
automotive green tape
a pop-rivet gun with 3/16" adapter
#11 drill bit...buy one, better than using a 3/16 inch drill bit!
Drill

took me 30 minutes to install. Used a sheet to cover the engine compartment for metal flakes from drilling. Hood raises on its' own about halfway up.

Going to make a separate thread for this...

So one Forte has been in the shop at Road Race Motorsports and if you are looking to get some aftermarket parts they are interested. We have a wanted thread here. Intake is easy and the mock up is complete, need to make a prototype for a car to test (and keep). Also have a under drive pulley that fits and it does not take long to get springs and sway bars made for this car. Let me know if you are interested, this would be a fun car to put some power down in.

kia is using their racing announcement to springboard their performance/accessory rollout plan that will start in 2010.

Yes and they are only $206 compared to over $300 for other ones ive seen
I think I'm going to wait for coilovers to be released for the car. There aren't any camber kits available just yet; I don't want to take the chance of them not being able to properly align the rear because of that.
Coilovers have been out in Korea for a long time. With torsion beam you may be referring to shims. As of July 09, KIA had not created any shims with their part numbers. Talking to SPC , they may have something.

To use camber kits on torsion beam machining of spindles & beam would have to be done.... big $.
