If You have even a little background knowledge on wiring (Like installing aftermarket LED light), you should be fine. Its really easy as long as you know that difference between the + and - wires, and even if you don't just switch em around HA!

Here's a link to a PDF instruction manual that shows you how to install a EC mirror (Not for Koup) but its all the same. Really its not rocket science!

rossfrost22 - Thanks for the reply - umm, but the instruction sheet was for a Scion tC mirror - probably pretty close tho -

I am okay with wiring, and can figure out + and - was mostly trying to find out if the connection was right behind the map light / sunglasses holder or not -

Thank you again
How much was the mirror if you don't mind me asking? and is it auto dimming?
No problem. Ya I know its for the tc but its a very similar install to what you will have to do to the forte sedan / koup. just wanted to give you an idea. Yes, The connector wires are right there behind the sun glass holder. I installed LED map and dome lights, that's the only reason I know, i had to take out the sun glass holder to get to the bulbs. Its all one piece when you take it our extremely easy and just pops and bolts right back in.
rossfrost22: Thank you - I was not sure, but had a hunch that was about where "stuff" was.

apecio: My sales guy said he would get me the mirror for about $250 USD. I have also seen them for sale on the Internet for as low as $220 USD from www.kiaparts.com - https://www.kiaparts.com/product_in...=1064&osCsid=ca210b2e7eb1ea736e13bbce4fa65dad
Will probably buy it local - but try to get a better price - It IS auto-dimming with Homelink.
thanks for the info WVSX.... I am going to check some places out locally and compare prices.
WVSXKoup / apecio -

Here's probably the best deal you'll find on Kia Accessories... plus FREE SHIPPING on anything over $150, and an 11% first-time buyer discount!

Kia Forte/Forte Koup Auto Dimming Mirror w/ Compass

I bought ALL my factory KIA accessories from them; they are just the best... no problems, fast service, everything as promised. Be sure to get the factory touch-up paint pen for your vehicle... at $8.03, how could you go wrong? The factory sunshade is a good idea too, with our BLACK interiors (oh-so-cool on blazing summer days;))
Thanks TeeJay1959 - The one I am getting includes the Homelink too.

No worries, I hope you have luck installing it. cant wait to hear if it was worth it. I actually had that choice but decided not to because the only difference between that one and mine was the mirror and it jacked the price up like 500 bucks, but that's what you get from the dealerships.

Anyways, if your wanting to get the one with home link, remember that there are actually two different ones out their. the only extra from the one to the other is home link. The link that TJay gave ya is the other one i was talking about without home link, that's why its a little cheaper. Anyways, let me know if you find one with everything for a good price and also how your install went k.
Folks;

Sorry for the delay in answering. Anyway, I DID order the KIA mirror from the local dealer. Since I bought the car there, they sold it to me at a discount. The total with local sales taxes was like $248 USD. They had a mechanic who had installed one before, and he put mine in for about $30 USD after hours.

As far as the mirror itself, I bought the one with Homelink too. The Auto-Dim works well, maybe needs to be a shade darker, but is good. I like the Homelink too.

Thanks for the help.
