I wonder what the difference is between the Koup standard equipment levels in cars from the North America compaired to other countries. Here in Australia the Koup comes in one level only, thats a 2.0 litre engine and with all the options except for sunroof and leather seats, but I found a few things I think our cars have that is different. It has backup sonars, auto headlights on, heated rear mirror

comparing the koup's equipment levels to other american cars? or to other countries that have the koup?
Heated rear mirror? Are you talking about the side mirrors or the center rear view mirror? Canada has heated side mirrors and front seats, wiper de-icer on the EX 2.0L.

Gee heated seats never seen that on cars much here except for BMW ect, I guess it's not as cold here as some counties
canada has chrome door handles, some might like it some might not, i personally like it in my red, leather is standard on sx, 2.4L, a thing i like about the stats koup is there speakers light up...

in kia europe i believe they have push start

also forgot about warranty
kia canada is 5
kia europe is 7
kia us is 10

oh and check this out! http://www.kia-ceratokoup.com/main.html
In the US leather is an option even on the SX. You get the heated seats only if you get the leather package. You also have to add a sunroof if you want leather (all in all an extra $1700 USD). The only other option really that you can add to an SX is the homelink rearview mirror.

Seems like the only difference between the EX and SX is engine size (2.0 v. 2.4).

Oh and no climate control in the US. :(
Remote start is an "official" accessory option in the US (I have it).
Standard feature on my Canadian SX Koup (that I know it differ from place to place)

Auto Climate Control
Heated front red stiched leather seat
Heated side miror
Front winshield deicer
Sunroof
Chiped key with immobilisation
Keyless entry
Chrome door handles
Mud/rock guards
2.4L engine
Leather wrap steering (red stiched) and shifter

What missing!

No home link
No TPMS
No speaker light
No rear backup assitance
No GPS
No push start button
No alarm

Voilà!

In Peru there is only one version, they call it the SX but it has a 2.0 engine.
equipment wise:
sx wheels.
2 airbags
rear parking assistance
sunroof
speaker lights
leather seats

i asked the dealer about the SX denomination and they said that its the "official" names for this car in Peru... i still cant understand why, besides marketing related reasons.

edit: i forgot to say it only comes with a 3 year or 100k km warranty (wtf!)
^ 2 airbags?!? I would give up the rear parking assistance for a few more airbags.

...and 4 Vs 5 speed auto (unless EX w/Fuel package) or 5 Vs 6 speed manual...and fog lights...and 16" Vs 17" wheels.

I guess I narrowed my response to what is optional on an SX without comparing it to the EX.

i would have too, if i had the option, there is only 1 model coming to Peru so... i just have to stick with it :(

All Aussie Fortes come with 6 airbags

google is stumped.
it didnt even bother trying.
(but from looking on the map- that is one hell of a long drive :) )

i was just thinking- i got vacation time to burn- and heck- why not drive to peru to show off a true SX ?
