The general advice on this forum is to buy Lasfit "LA Plus Series 9005 HB3 LED bulbs 60W 6000LM 6000K Amplified Flux Beam". We'll call this "the old".
However, when perusing the Lasfit website, this shows up: «9005 LED Bulbs 60W 6000LM 6000K | LCair Series, All-in-One Design». This shall be "the new".
The old LA Plus does not really fit; it comes with a cable so it can be plugged in. A moisture grill must be removed from the Forte's headlight dust cap so that it can close. However; it is rotatable, so, if the car's reflector does not properly pick up the new light source, you can rotate the Lasfit for proper pattern alignment.
The new LCair has the same form factor as the OEM halogen, so its plug is not at the end of a wire; instead, the plug is part of the Lasfit body, at a fixed and unamovable point. It is not rotatable. If for some reason whatever the Forte's locking mechanism sits at an angle not exactly the same as Lasfit built this, the light pattern won't match and cannot possibly be fixed. Lasfit says on its website: «Fit: 2023 Kia Forte»
Lasfit also says the new LCair has "16 chips" (16 Leds) and claims "400% brighter than halogen". For the old LA Plus, it claims "200% brighter than halogen". This might be perfect nonsense since both LCair and LA Plus are advertised at 6000LM (pair).
Lasfit chat first recommended another bulb, until I pointed out her recommendation is a 70W bulb, and the Forte manual says 60W. Then she recommended the "new", but eventually she also recommended the "old" and said, and I quote: «We don't have your vehicle specifications available here in live chat», so I suspect her advice is worthless.
Comments, please? Go with the old or the new?
