Well, that's the thing... air'd up i want to be around what H&R springs would sit the car and down would be where the fender and lip meets in "Holy Matrimony." I'm just going to get the wheels and sit decently on the stance with coil springs from summitracing, probably with 300-400LB/in and short springs w adj'r collars up front and find some springs from an e36 or close to the bimmers setup, with a spring retainer at the bottom to prevent the spring from unsetting when it isn't under pressure and maybe even a shorter stroking shock from another model. I.e angled drives and etc.

coincidentally megan racing also sells lowering springs now for super cheap (120 bucks) I bet you can get a set of those and cut them. I can't imagine the spring rate being too different then the ones included with the coilovers. It would most likely be close enough to work.

As for the antenna I have had the itch to replace it with something more subtle, but I'm not a big fan of the shark fins. I'll find something eventually.
I had the VG sharkfin antenna for a while and I always went back and forth on if I actually liked it or not.

Right now I replaced the long OEM antenna for a 1" stubby antenna. Keeps the stock look but doesn't look tacky like the long one. For a temporary solution until something better arises it's not bad especially at around only $5.

hey bro got a couple questions. ok so i got megans on my sedan and wanted to know when u cut ur springs in the rear did u cut from the the top of the spring or bottom and how much did u cut. also wanted to know how the ride was after.(more bouncy??) sorry for the noob questions but i have never cut springs and currently want the rear lower. any info would be appreciated thnx

I cut out of the top. The bottom (smaller end) fits into the bottom spring cup with the use of the rubber pad from the stock springs. It's good to preserve that snug connection down there. As for cutting I basically drew a line directly below the end of the spring, so as to remove exactly one coil. Here's a rough idea of what I mean. I cut on the red line:

Is it possible tp cut the front springs too? Because i have coilovers sitting in the garage but i dont wanna put them in before winter jere in chicago. So is it possible? I dont wanna do it and then be screwed lol

E-hobba, Is you roof painted or vinyl? good looking car btw.

Well yea there eibach lowering springs, and thats exacly why i dont wanna put the coilovers on. And u have ur spring cut in the back, so if i test the theory of the front ones then alot of ppl can save money by just cutting them.

No the eibach springs i have the factory saved just in case

^^ I'll give you the benefit of the doubt cause there's a lot of posts in this thread but the info you seek is in here if you did a little reading.

17x9 wheel, +22 offset and a 215/40R17 tire. The "tilt" you refer to is achieved using two SPC shims stacked on each wheel to get -3 degrees of camber. I believe I'm correct, if not someone please correct me.

Some of you might appreciate this. When I first bought my car I went and took some pictures of it for the purpose of photoshopping it to better visualize the end goal. Here is what I came up with back then.

I still have a ways to go on the front end (headlights, grill, etc.) but it's coming together. It kind of sucks looking back at this picture now because, as you can plainly see, I was planning on going lower than I currently am. It's too bad the driveway is the only thing preventing me from going lower...
