I cut out of the top. The bottom (smaller end) fits into the bottom spring cup with the use of the rubber pad from the stock springs. It's good to preserve that snug connection down there. As for cutting I basically drew a line directly below the end of the spring, so as to remove exactly one coil. Here's a rough idea of what I mean. I cut on the red line:

E-hobba, Is you roof painted or vinyl? good looking car btw.

Thanks, the roof is vinyl. It's easy to overlook, but I also have paint-matched vinyl across the bottom lip of the font bumper to breakup all the black. I never liked the big open-jaw look on these cars. It needed to be tied together in the front.

I never noticed the paint match vinyl until you just said, and now that I looked I must say good job man. Nice "subtle" touch.

As for the antenna I have had the itch to replace it with something more subtle, but I'm not a big fan of the shark fins. I'll find something eventually.
I had the VG sharkfin antenna for a while and I always went back and forth on if I actually liked it or not.

Right now I replaced the long OEM antenna for a 1" stubby antenna. Keeps the stock look but doesn't look tacky like the long one. For a temporary solution until something better arises it's not bad especially at around only $5.

Cut your factory springs? You can I suppose, that is how hot rodders did it back in the day. I personally and taking my coilovers off for the winter and going back to stock otherwise I'd be plowing snow. No shame in rolling stock for a while.

No the eibach springs i have the factory saved just in case

Well yea there eibach lowering springs, and thats exacly why i dont wanna put the coilovers on. And u have ur spring cut in the back, so if i test the theory of the front ones then alot of ppl can save money by just cutting them.
