My led tai lights have been misbehaving since I bought the car. The car from the lot had defective led tail lights. They ordered new ones and replaced them right away. It was fine for a while after that but started acting up again a several months down the road.
I recently got it replaced again under the warranty but they told me they couldn't find anything wrong and just had to follow the textbook repair method recommended by Kia corporate which was just to replace the whole led tail lights. So they replaced it again.
Judging from how the tail light replacement only temporarily fixed the problem, I am kind of expecting the malfunction to come up again a few months down the road.
If this does happen, is there a way I can get the Kia to take the car back under the lemon law?
Lastly, the first time they replaced my tail lights they damaged my paint around the tail light housing. I got the dealership to touch it up when I just got my tail light replaced a second time but they did a really horrible job and it looks like they just grabbed paint and stuck it on there. It's uneven, bumpy and rough. Aren't they responsible for restoring the damaged part to the original condition?
