two people posted two different bulb number for the rear turn light and brake lights.

Any idea which number is actually the right one?
The 1156 & 1157 are physically the same size bulb, the difference is that the 1156 is a single filament bulb and the 1157 is a dual filament bulb.

The outside taillight (not the one on the trunk) is am 1157 since does double duty as running light and brake light.

The inside taillight (the one on the trunk) is just a running light so an 1156 might work but I remember someone saying that it is set up with an 1157 and dual contact socket but only using one side.

This is my understanding and so I ordered 1157 L.E.D. equivalent bulbs but have yet to install them to confirm this.

Check out this thread about a member who modified his tail lights, according to his experience the inside is an 1157.

Hope this helps.

so 1157 for all the tails but turn and reverse then?

also...the koup seems to require one to remove the entire lens assembly in order to swap bulbs.
Yes, on both the Koup and Sedan you have to remove the assembly to replace the bulbs.
Why!? I have no idea why they did it this way!

I believe the reverse is a 921 but don't quote me. That should be all the bulbs.

I have attached a pdf of the replacement procedure and it shows 2 bulbs in the outer light, 1 for Stop/Tail light and 1 for Turn signal. Then 2 more on the inner light, 1 for tail light and 1 for reverse.

UPDATE!

OK so today I decide to look for myself and here's what I found on my sedan.

  1. you DO NOT need to remove the tail light assembly. I was able to open to access door in the trunk (you will need to cut/tear the edges) and twist and remove the sockets. Just make a note of the position of the socket after you loosen it, it makes it easier to line it up after wards.
  2. the bulbs are as follows:
    • Outer light 1 x 1157 Tail/Brake light in the upper position, 1 x 1156 Signal light in the lower position.
    • Inner Light (on trunk) 1 x 1157 tail light with only 1 filament used, 1 x 921 wedge base reverse light.

I hope this clears things up.

The map lights are listed as "175", but I can't find this type of festoon bulb anywhere. anyone else been able to find it in LED?

Does anyone know what the bulb number is for the side mirrors?

Thanks

Or bend in the connectors on the socket to tighten them up a little bit. I've had to do that before on my old S-10. Do they work ok though?

How do they compare to stock bulbs? Much brighter and "whiter" light? Or no? I'm still trying to decide on these...

Not as bright.. Gives it more of a glow than anything. I like th way it looks with all three on includin the dome light. I bought the SMD ones for ny license plate and those are really bright. I will post a picture a tad later of both the interior and license plate. I might order the smd led lights for the interior to see if I like those better. I think I saw them on eby for $20.

That's what I was afraid of. I wasn't sure how bright they would be. I'm probably going to get the ones off of SUPER BRIGHT LEDS - LED Lights & Accessories I've bought from them before and was happy. Pictures would be appreciated though.

like i said, i think i am going to try the SMD LED's on ebay and see which i like better.. these are really bright, but in person the glow is very soothing and nice looking.
