I live in NJ and I was thinking about maybe buying a new forte koup. I kind of wanted to get an idea of what people were putting down (down payment) and what their monthly payments were. I am looking to lease and not buy, so please only leave information relating to a lease. If you don't want to share that information thats fine, but anyone who is willing to share, it would definitely influence my decision. Thanks

Hey welcome to the forums. There are actually quite a few threads like this already, in the future you should try the search function first. I bought my Forte SX sedan about 3 months ago from Towne Kia (I think they also go as Towne Hyundai). I paid 18.7k out the door. I can't remember his last name at the moment, I'll try to find his card, but my salesman was Joe. He was a really nice guy, no pressure at all. Do your research and make sure you let them know what you're talking about and they won't try to take advantage of you.

As an ex car salesman I have ONE piece of advice.....Make SURE that you DON'T go over the mileage. If you have a 3year/36,000mile lease then you DON'T want to go over the mileage and spend 25 to 30 cents a mile overage charge. You may not think that is much but multiply 25 or 30 cents times 1,000 miles over for example and it can add up fast. If you can stay under mileage and are going to walk away from the car at the lease end (get another car, not buy out the lease)then a lease is a good option for you.
