Got in my car this morning and the malfuntion indicator light was on and it will not come off. The kia place said to bring it to them. But im fiancee has a software on his ipod and he hooked it up to the car and a code came up for the intake. Any one had the same problem. Dont want to take it to the kia place if it just a simple fix. the nearest one is like an hour and half away.

:YeahThat: it could be a couple different things..a leak at the gasket or even the actual manifold leaking from a crack somewhere. Seems like it was a common issue on the 2011. Get it done under warranty and soon.
If you are mechanical smart, this could be done yourself ..but its not worth it. It could cost way more than some gas and hassle to take it in. And retaining the warranty is priceless to most people.
Use the warranty. You paid for it.you might even be able to score some free gas out of it. Be nice,but firm on your dissatisfaction. Just a thought.
