What's the difference in sound between round and oval mufflers?

Aside from it's shape, there isn't much difference. The oval may sound more deeper and louder but that would be it

its not so much the shape of the muffler but what is inside those mufflers. Different companies have different ways to cancel out vibrations with methods such as chambers or glass/wool pack.
