I just picked my new 2023 Forte GT2 a couple weeks ago. I had to wait a couple months for it be delivered but it was worth it. Ive got a list a stuff I want to do to it of course!

I plan on doing things like replacing the mid-pipe, exhaust and something like the JB4 tuner. I think one of the first think I am upgrading is the hot pipe and the waste-gate solenoid.

I had the windows tinted this morning with a 15% in the rear and 25% in the front. I also had the GT ceramic coated a few weeks ago for the peice of mind with a black car.
First engine mod is on its way soon in the form of a Takeda stage 2 intake, and that's where we begin the modding this Forte.

Intake has been installed. The box it came in looked like it went to war but everything was together and all there.

I was worried for a bit because the car felt really slow and sluggish for a couple miles. It woke up after a few minutes of driving, assuming the computer had to compensate for new amount of air. Butt dyno is pleased with the intake.

Not really a mod but I finally got around to purchasing floormats. I went with a set called Tuxmat because they matched the GT seat pattern really well and they were form fitting n weather proof.

I bought them off Amazon. They seems like they should hold up pretty well. They are washable with the garden hose, kinda vinylly.

Tonight I cobbled together a cheapy catch can setup for the GT. I didn't want to spend over $200+ for a catch can, so I threw together a bracket from some stuff I had at work. It's not the prettiest set-up but it shouldn't have any issue capturing oil.

Here's the results after 2 months of driving on my Amazon catch can. 👍🏻 I would highly recommend installing a can on your 1.6t if you haven't. All this oil was heading back into the intake manifold.
