New 2011 Koup SX Owner

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to pop in quick and say hello to the community. I just purchased my 2011 Titanium Grey Koup SX on Friday and have been enjoying it ever since. I loved the Koup when it first was announced and then when it actually came out I swooned over it even further.

Now with the improvements to the car for 2011, I couldn't be happier. The tail lights are a HUGE improvement in my opinion, as well as the wheels. I know a lot of people loved the black and silver wheels on the 2010 SX but I feel the new gunmetal wheels are less "boy racer" and really elevates the classiness.

I will post some pics as soon as I can!

Welcome and congrats on the new car!!!
Thanks for the welcome. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a brand new unused KOUP badge? I'm looking to make a nice binder to keep all of the service history and vehicle information in. I will probably use something like Gorilla Glue or another strong adhesive that can stand up to the interior heat in the summer.
Congrats! Since the new wheels match the titanium paint I think you picked the hottest looking new model.
I definitely think the whole package looks amazing with this color.

Only problem... dealer drilled front plate holes...

Pennsylvania does not have a front plate requirement and I am working with the dealer to try and get it fixed.

Is the black lower portion of the front bumper removable? or is it all one piece?

thanks for ebay link too!

just curious-- those are the SX wheels?
if so- they sure give less user options to modify them-(ie remove the inserts, paint the inserts...)
They are the new sx wheels. I was honestly never a fan of the other wheels from the 2010 model.

It's a personal preference -- if I trade in my 10 Koup SX for an 11 Koup SX I want to trade wheels...LoL!

thats wierd here in PR the SX came wit the 2010 wheels...wich in my opinion i like em way better...
Welcome and congratulations on your new Koup. Titanium is sexy color.
I hate the 2010 Koup wheels. Once again matter of personal preference since I planned to buy my own anyway. The SX wheels look more of a winter wheel once you throw them on to swap in the fall.

pingpongitore - Car looks great. I have the EX Sedan. Same color. Gunmetal is the way to go. I plan on getting either 17's or 18's (Big decision) in the spring and I am going gunmetal with chrome lip. Very very sharp! Congrats on the car.

Yeah I hear you on the front license plate holes, I bought mine from Ohio because their were none in PA when I was looking for my car, so it has the front holder too. The problem is it makes my car look like it has a Hitler mustache :-(. But yeah the front black section its removable, because I had to have my bumper cover replaced and when it was replaced they put the old black pieces on to save me a little money.
I'll be getting mine soon too. I'm under the employee lease program and my 2010 EX is going bye bye. I'm undecided on which color to get as well (thinking Black or White)

I'm just wondering: are the rims GUNMETAL or SILVER? I'm praying that they are GUNMETAL.

I actually just want KIA to just upsize the EX rims to 17s or 18s. I like the 5 spoke bronze look. Not a fan of the 2010 SX rims like everyone else.

OP, can we get more pictures? Front, side profile, interior, etc.

Thanks!
yesterday I washed my car (forte Koup sx) in one of those hand wash bays where you do it yourself... and I noticed moisture inside of both my headlights almost immediately after wetting it down before the wash. the moisture wasn't water drops, it was like a light fog film on the bottom 3d of each headlight (think of people that wear glasses and go outside after being indoors... they fog up... it was like that)

Now, I live in orlando florida where the heat in insanely high almost every day, so im thinking that maybe there was a large temp change when I got them wet and that's why they fogged up.

Not sure if that's good/bad/normal - anyone have any idea's why it happened? is it possible both of my headlights need replaced? anyone else having this issue?
Beautiful car! Love the color
