Hey All!

So stoked to see this forum going. I did not plan on ever owning a Kia. I bought a used vehicle from my local Kia dealership, and long story short, the car was a bust. The GM who sold me the used car hooked me up. Tried getting me in an '09 used, but I talked my way into brand new.
If I had my current job when I got the car, I would have spent more and got the Koup and in WHITE!!! But, regardless, I love my car!!

I was nervous about my Kia, until I started driving it. Such a good drive! I was the only Forte in my neighbourhood for a while, but I've seen 5 others cruising around, so that makes me super happy that people are totally getting into how sweet of a ride it is!

Just wondering, the dealership that sold you your new Forte sedan was the same dealership that sold you a broken used car?

Yup. I purchased an 05 Ford Escape from them, one of their trade ins. I'm not sure how they messed up, but I can only assume something was overlooked on the emission/drive test that they have to do here before you sell any vehicle. It ended up being the driveshaft, and conveniently wasn't covered under the extended warrenty I bought. SO, the GM was a good guy, really helped me, I was able to get the brand new Kia, with no difference in biweekly payments. They sold it to me at "cost", if thats the right word to use here.

We have a huge group of Forte lovers in the GTA. We actually meet fairly regularily.

From the picture, did you get your car at 401 Dixie?

We are gathering at 401 dixie near the end of the month for a bbq on the 21st i believe. You should come out!

I'm not sure how the laws work up in Canada but if a dealership in the United States pulled that off there's a lot of legal action you can take, so I'm assuming your dealership was at least a little bit afraid of a few laws working in your favor. Still sounds really shady though. Your Forte should be fine but I'd be a little bit skeptical of the quality of repairs and maintainance through that dealership.
