Hello everyone I am new to the forum and has decided to purchase the forte koup sx. I initially wanted racing red but the dealership told me it will be months until they have it available. Silver was my second option. They don't have that in stock either but they will be able to get one in about a week.

However, I saw a black one there today and actually liked it. I love black cars but the black portion of the koup's front end is a nice contrast with other colors.

So my question is which color do you think is better between the black and silver

hmm as just said black is great when its clean how hard is it to keep clean you ask??
well depends on where you live but no matter where you live its the hardest color to take care of.. everything shows and I mean everything!
but is it worth that trouble.. ??? you better believe it is

thou if you don't like to wash your car every 3 days lol silver would be the wise choice..

A Black Koup looks very sharp... seems more luxurious to me, esp. at night... A Silver color gives it that modern and stylish look to it..and you're able to see the design lines clearly... Like you said before, Silver has better "contrast" with colors (black rims, black tail lamps, etc)... I would be stuck in the same boat as you are...

Maybe this video will help you decide
(if it were only that simple)

Black.

I'm a little bias......

Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahlaaaaaaaaack BABY!

Seriuosly though, as rainyraven said it best, you see everything and got to wash real often.

Keep us posted on your choice. Good luck.

Thanks for your thoughts anthonydv07. This decision put me in a tough predicament (because I'm picky) but I'm going to go with the black.
Awesome !!!!! :D

OP you indicated you were most interested in racing red...why not wait for your first choice? IMO the racing red is the best "showy" color because of the contrast with the black grille. It is very "loud" and catches your eye more than any of the other choices. The Koup looks good in any color but I recommend you see the colors in person before making a choice.

...I went with Corsa Blue because my last two cars were red...in case someone asks...LoL!

I don't even own a Koup but I'm partial to the silver as well.

In photoshopped pics the silver looks plain but in the real world it shows off the muscular style the Koup has. I'd say go silver and paint the wheel inserts black. Silver + black wheels = hawwwt. IMO

I agree with ForteSX2.4. If Racing Red is your first choice, I would definately just wait for what you really want. A month is actually not that long. I waited 3 weeks for my Titanium Sedan, and I am happy that I did! I got exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier. However, if you can't wait I would go with the Silver Koup. I love Black Cars, but the Koup looks better to me in Silver. That's just my opinion though.
