New Wheels & Help on Roof?

*edit* More mods! I went down from 38% to 25% side tint and did limo in the back since I can't see out the back window anyway (too short). I also found a local guy who installed my vinyl for $75 (no sunroof $100 for sunroof) and while I was there I also got my tail lights smoked for an additional $75 (he provided the vinyl for that). He did a great job!! He had to take off the shark fin though for a more polished look on the roof and wasn't able to wrap it without getting some bubbles and creases that probably won't go away so he didn't reattach it for the time being to let me decide if I wanted to replace it or remove the vinyl and repaint it. I think I'm just going to order a new one.. if I decide to do it myself what paint, clear coat and reattachment tape should i use and what will it cost me as opposed to $80 fin again?

It think the roof and darker tint just made all the difference (ignore green masking tape - I had to drive my car home 30 minutes on the highway from his place) ! Also looking to remove the painted pinstripes but having a hard time finding a shop that says they can remove it without damaging the paint. If anyone in the Dallas area is interested in the vinyl guy (he doesn't do windows, just roof and tail lights), send me a PM for his info :)

you live in dallas...a major city, other people live in these little dinky towns no ones ever heard of so right off the bat youre going to probably pay double! lol i live in NYC so to have my roof painted would probably be triple!!! the rims look good, but if you wanted to lose the gap you could have gone 18 then use the eibachs. or cut the springs and lower it 2". all in all its coming out nice!

Yea looks good...and (K)illed is right...Where I live (23,000 pop) the vinyl guy quoted me $170 for the roof. In neighboring Erie, Pa. (110,000 pop), 20 minutes east of me, I was quoted at $275.00. Thirty-Eight minutes west of me, Mentor, Ohio (60,000 pop but a much higher income ratio), I was quoted $255...So yea it seems like the bigger, much wealthier cities are going to cost you allot more out the gate..
i got 9 million in my city! lmao
I know..I been there only one time...It was the day after that US Airway in landed in the Hudson. Was about 3 degrees that day. WTF I was thinking I will never know. I couldn't hail a taxi for the life of me, couldn't figure out the subway.......There was this one building that I kept going back to in the front lobby that had heat coming out from the walls that I used to keep my hands from being frostbitten. I thought I was going to die of hypothermia. What a day!

Here's a good one I snapped for ya (K)illed...I think you'll appreciate it!

Sorry Juliephan, Not trying to hijack your thread. (K)illed just reminded me of that horrible experience! Now back to the original question!!!!

Well that sucks balls. Maybe I should call a shop out in the boons. I don't mind a little driving with my 35mpg! I was thinking about getting 18's again but it wasn't worth the price difference for me. I had 18's on my old car and it was like $200 per tire at Discount Tire. My 17s were only $100. Isn't cutting springs bad though? I really only want my front end lowered so it sounds like a cheap option but I don't want my struts or something else going wrong long-term.
I wonder if there are anything out there that is precut to buy and just have it applied by someone...not sure if that would be cheaper or turn out to be just as expensive...
UDPATED PLEASE LOOK AND TELL ME IF YOU LIKE. Sorry my picture sucks, there's no open areas to park in my neighborhood that will let me take a full photo, all garages.
new pic is broken, cant see :(

Sorry I am forum retarded. Try now?

I give up I don't know how to edit a previous post and attach another photo... LOL

I do want to lower it but the cost of installing the springs and alignment is more than the springs themselves! I don't know anyone who can install them either so I'm SOL unless I want to fork over $500 to lower my car an inch and half. I can't justify that right now since I owe Uncle Sam some money.. maybe in a few months time.

$500??????? Holy sh*t balls!!!! lol get some friends with a jack and some tools and a spring compressor with about 2-3 hours of free time.

A regular shop should charge by the hour and it shouldn't take more then 2 hours. The rears come out in a second, the fronts are the one that are a pain.

I was quoted between $350-500 for installation. All for 4 hours of labor with or without alignment included. That added to the $200 springs is just not worth an inch drop to me. I asked my friends but sadly, none are willing. Having geeks for friends is only beneficial when my computer crashes. I need new friends haha.
Drive around looking for other imports and start hanging out with them....I'm sure a 6 pack and a pretty smile will get those springs on in no time! lol
