Seems like there's only one picture on the interwebs and it's just the press shot. Does anyone here have it installed and more importantly is it worth the $299?

Way to expensive. You can do it yourself for under $50 if you buy all pieces / led strips off eBay.

The only thing nice if you get the dealer to install it will not void your warranty.

I didn't tap into any existing wires and directly powered mine from the battery so I will not have any issues either

Yea 300$ is way too much. Could do this for half the price and then use the rest of the money elsewhere. That's the problem with the first year of a car, there's just not a lot of products out yet for it so for now we all have to pay top dollar either until stuff starts coming out or you're talented enough to do things yourself

How long did the install take? Think it could be done by someone who doesn't have experience in doing so?

I had zero experience and did it myself. Took - couple hours but nothing major. I hve a small DIY somewhere around here. See if I can find it.

I didnt even use a direct connect to the battery. I used an old cell phone charger, and with a few mods, wired the LEDS in parallel to the charger and voila! no voided warranties. Its directly plugged into the 12V cigarette lighter plug, and if need be, I can take them out easily.


I will try and get some picture for you guys.

This was all done for approx $40 and some very little electrical experience. Best part is, no voided warranties.
