Just picked up a 2011 SX Koup with automatic. We were looking for a "sporty" coupe in the 20k range and were shocked at how nice this car is. I've owned 12 Mazdas, including an RX8, Protege 5, Mazda3, etc. and must say that the handling feel is right up there with Mazda. This car should end any prejudice people might have against Kia.

It's a new world, and all car companies have similar robots building the cars. My 2006 GLI was built in Mexico-did they put a sombrero on the robot? I don't think so! Quality in design and material is the key, and I believe Kia and Hyundai decided to equal or exceed everyone else in this price range. Enjoy your bargain and let others catch up.

My only mod plans at this point are audio. I used to have big systems in my cars. I blew out my ears with some Boston Acoustic Z's in my RX-8, so can't hear much anyway (just kidding). I had a great set of Polk-Momo coax speakers in my Mazda Cx-7, along with JL Amps and a small subwoofer. Sounded great for what it was. I may just replace the speakers and use the stock head unit for now. The Momo's are out of production, but Polk now makes the MM651 UM. Before you make fun of relatively cheap coax speakers, listen to these.
