I have been trying to look up details on how to replace an oil pump for a 2010 Kia Forte but cannot find the instructions for that particular make and model only general replacement or other makes and models but I was told that some vehicles you must also replace the timing chain and the general instruction don't mention anything about possibly removing timing chain. Can anyone help me find the proper procedure for this task?:confused::eek:

I havent done it on my car before but I know how it works. Ive changed oil pumps on a diesel forklift though at work so it should be close if not the same.

Lift the front of the car, place an empty container under oil pan and remove the screw so the old oil drips out. Now you need a special ''wrench'' to twist the old oil filter ( at least on the forklift you do ), loosen it and throw it out, then lubricate the top of the new filter with your finger, and tighten it on. Now screw the oil pan shut again, lower car, and pour new oil into engine ! :D

I also want to know.

Outside of Crock no one has grenaded their engine and hasn't been warranted.
