Wanted to ask if any Forte owners if they have ever done a diy on painting, primer clearcoat on their cars that are titanium silver metallic (IM paint code)? I ordered from automotivetouchup.com the basecoat, grey primer & clearcoat.

My question is as I was sanding the side mirriors there was black then white/off white (the actual plastic color) Is it ok to use grey primer or should I have ordered black? It's too late to return. I can order the black if i need to.

The rear bumber/valance/air defuser has too many hits, scuffs, scratches. This is my 1st time doing this type of paint work. I would've gone to a stealership or auto body & paint to buy a pint/qt but was given different prices from $250 to $400. That for just the basecoat.

Thank you for any info, help & input.
