Ya the caps just pop out. I used heat resistant primer, black paint, and clear when I did mine. I also scuffed up the entire wheel before painting

Ya it is but its more expensive. It cost me around $20 to paint all 4 wheels. Mine is temporary. I plan on buying new wheels and keeping these as spares. Powdercaoting would probably look cleaner too
