I don't know if its just me but, I don't like that both my doors unlock on my car when I put my vehicle in park!

I remember reading somewhere this is programmable and the dealer can change the auto lock / unlock feature.

I didn't like that either. Your service department can change the way the doors lock and unlock.

The available options are:

Lock:
- out of park,
- 20 km/h,
- 40 km/h,
- disabled (never lock).

Unlock:
- put in park,
- remove key from ignition,
- disabled (never unlock).

I had mine changed to lock at 20 km/h, and never unlock. Since the doors unlock just by pulling on the inside door opener there is no inconvenience to leaving them locked. Since my car was less than a month old at the time, I successfully argued that I should have been offered the option of how I wanted it at delivery and they agreed to change it at no cost. YMMV.

I know on some cars to change this it is only a matter of certain key sequences. (Ie. Turn key on, then off, then on, then repeat...)

wonder how much these rape artist at the dealership would charge me for never unlock. I would prefer my doors to unlock when I pull on the lever. Maybe I watch to much forensic files on trutv. I don't trust these mofos at all!

You all do know that after you put the lever in "P" and the doors unlock, there is a switch on the door that you can push that will lock all the doors again...don't you...LOL!!!! You can even use the same switch to unlock all the doors...LOL!!!

I guess you never had somebody come right up on your car when you park trying to sell you something. Knocking on you window, that moment in time, I would still like for my doors to be locked!

Don't you know that a few seconds could change your whole life. Don't you! Call me paranoid I guess, when I put my whip in park first thing I do I check my phone. I would still like to know i'm locked with out going. O damn lock the door back!
