I don't drive my SX very often, but 3 days ago it was night. 2 people flah me in least than 2 min. first i tought that a cop was doing some radar. but no cops a head. Do you think that my light aren't adjust right or it,s jsut the people freaking out for nothing, i've bought my car in may 2009, one of the first Sx sold in québec, maybe the first ! lol :) it,s the first time that happens to me. Any tought? Sorry for my english! and for me the light seem to be very well adjust.
and more thing. Does the sond change with a K&N drop in filter? and no war about it please -)
Thx

Maybe your high beam were on or your lights were just to bright idk watever the case is. Now the k&n drop in filter changes the sound? no why not get a cai to make it roar
no high beam :) and the CAI will comme this summer :) not an homemade but a real one.
Turbokits has a cai already out and there's another site offering a short ram intake
It happens to me at least once a night while driving if I have my normal lights on and my fogs. People flash at me like I have my high beams on so I flash my highs back at them to show them they are not on. Kind of annoying. When I drive behind someone my lights aren't up high on the rear or the car so I am not sure the issue. Might take it in and have them check the height of the light pattern
i,m going the turbot kit, i want a real CAI. i going for the sound. I know i could build one. But i want quality. Turbotkit= quality. From the review i've seen. Thx for the advice Crock
People are doing the same thing to me!!! I put my HIDs in and they stopped but now that I took the HIDs out they are constantly flashing me at night...I even had a COP flash me twice...im surprised he didnt pull me over....but i flashed him back....haha....but i do find it annoying that every one keeps flashing me to turn my brights off when they aren't even on :( im gonna try to adjust them down to see if that helps, but i dont want to go too low or else i wont be able to see out in front of my car....
We need projector lamps...
if they flash me because they think that i'm high beam i don,t care. when you flash them back they understand that we have nice light lol
2nd that or i just need to put my HIDs back in ahaha :D

i was seconding this and ya i know they understand but it still gets annoying lol..cause down here in fl there is alot of road rage and when someone runs me off the road i wont be too happy  lol
a couple of friends and I went out driving around the other night because one of them just got an rsx-s (because his supercharged x-terra broke down)
he told me afterward that my lights were bright as hell when I come over a hill (he was in front of me most of the time, til I passed him in 5th lol)
he wasn't sure if my lights were exceptionally bright or he just wasn't used to seeing headlights from that low (x-terra was lifted at least 4" extra)
now I'm thinking maybe we just have very bright lights
not complaining though, I haven't had many people flashing their lights so far...
this just happened to me too, and not the first time! i was driving home and i got consequtivly flashed at every red light i was at. at one point i got out of the car and checked, because this is the second time in the last 3 nights i was driving that i got flashed. i went to the front of the car and noticed that we do have exeptionally bright lights, or at least thats what it looked like when i got just under the lights ( i popped a squat about 10 feet from my car lol), im actually quite annoyed by this! if anyone could figure out it is please let me know!!

Yea man I work A LOT of night shifts and commute to work, I get flashed EVERY night! The first couple times I was the same, trying to figure out if there was a cop or something or if something was wrong with the front of my car.... But it's definitely the headlights and fog lights on at the same time make it super bright I guess.... but I also noticed the same thing that the light level is not too high I think it's just the pure brightness of them (which to me is a good thing) Now I feel sorry for the ppl who flash at me becuase then they REALLY get to see what BRIGHT is when they get my high beams in their face as I pass! haha
you can easily adjust your lights so they point more downward. i have hids in and ive never been flashed prior to hids and after.
I have HIDs and don't get flashed, but I aimed my lamps down.

Driving with fogs on is a reason to get flashed and is just as bad as driving with high-beams on. I'll throw my high-beams on at any driver driving with fogs (unless it's when there is a need to have them on). And when they turn on their high-beams, I don't care, because I drive with yellow glasses at night. I found that it was definitely worth it to spend $2 on them. Now I don't get so pissed at incoming douches.

Wow, I thought I was the only one with this situation.

BTW, I do what paulhoude do!!! :D
I was on the highway one rainy evening and traffic was bad. I could see the guy in front of me was raising his arms up and making all sorts of jesters. As he pulled off on a exit ramp and I passed him I noticed he had to be about 70-80 years old! He was flipping me off and yelling at me shaking his fist! I had no idea what his problem was- I think now it was probably my lights! Mystery solved!
This thread needs this:

Then when people do that it won't bother you, just put you in the groove...
Something to consider for those of you with subwoofers, etc... as little as 50 pounds in the trunk can affect your headlight aim. The Forte comes with an extremely tight focus on the headlight beams - great advances in light path engineering can be thanked, there - and are factory aimed to have a 2" drop every 25 feet. So consider that your car sits a little lower in the rear, even a 1/4" of squat can do it, and now your lights will be several inches higher at the 25 foot mark and on and on. Someone 300 feet down the road will get them in his eyes, rather than hitting the ground.

Consider getting your headlight aim checked, now that you've had the car for a bit, the springs have settled, the tire pressures are where you like them and the stereo system is installed. In Canada this would be a free service under Kia Canada's 1 year, 20,000 kms adjustment period.
