Hey Everyone.....
(I apologize in advance for the long-ass post!!!!)

People all over the world call me "Billy From Philly". Though, I was born in Philly, and grew up in the 'burbs just north of the city most of my life.

I kinda just "happened" upon the Kia Forte. I was looking to dump my beat up 94 Del Sol. Heard an ad on the radio offering "guaranteed trade-in money". Well, once i was there, I gazed upon a gorgeous Spicy Red Koup EX in the showroom. The salesman told me about the SX, but didn't have any on the lot. Mine had to be manual, as well. I hopped in the EX and took it for a spin. The fit and finish inside was much more than I expected to see inside a Kia. I can't lie....I full thought I would be disappointed in any car on the Kia lot.

The salesman and I started talking numbers...where I wanted to be, where he was willing to go. Once we got to a number I was happy with, I managed to get him to throw in the first few oil changes as well. Now, it was on to finding the car that i wanted. I gave him 3 color choices....Copperhead, Titanium, Spicy Red. In that order. I asked for 2 things. A moonroof...and the 6 speed. I didn't care about anyting else. This was all done, without even seeing or sitting in or driving the SX.

I'm happy to say...that a week later, after having found one that was local, only to find out that it had a HUGE gash in the passenger dash, they found one in Connecticut for me. It was driven down, and I took delivery on a friday evening after work.

So far, I'm loving the car, and having a blast poking around the forums. I used to be part of the VWVortex forum when i had my GTi....I'm hoping for some of the same experience from the ForteForums. So far, you all have been great to read about, and learn from.

Hope to see some of you PA people on the road someday. Keep your eyes peeled for me:

Looks good,Billy! I'd welcome you,but since no one responded to MY recent, long winded intro,I don't know if I have the authority. :-/ Aw,welcome anyway from another Bill.

Always good to know another Bill!!

Sorry to hear about the non-response..I'll have to go check out your long winded post. I think people come in, and see a long post, and ADHD kicks in. Reminds me of the old *TLDNR* posts you would see (TLDNR stands for Too Long Did Not Read for those who don't know it!!)

Thanks for the response to mine, and the welcome....and welcome to YOU as well!
