Wow... I got mine for 17,400 (USD) after everthing, MSRP just over 19k for a red SX 6spd with a sunroof. But I had bought a spectra from them in 08, I loved that car, but wrecked it when North Texas got that heavy snowstorm a couple saturdays ago. They gave me 500 off just walking in, 500 from KIA for returning, then the dealership threw in another 500 for going back to them. Then somehow got about another 700 for them not having the auto dim mirrior I wanted and for buying off the lot instead of having one shipped.

Edit: I was there for about 6 hours minus a quick lunch for which they gave me a car to take and have a "extended test drive" :D FYI this is Central Kia in Lewisville off of I35 and Frankford. And i bought it at the end of the month and my dad said they most likely needed to make some sales...

Here in Puerto Rico I paid $21,985 (including taxes and delivery charges) for an Titanium Silver SX 6 speed with wing spoiler. Additional to that is the $300 for license and registration paid at the dealer. Insurance came for $2,500 for 6 years, extended warranty was $500 plus an additional robbery insurance of $955 for 5 years. with my bad credit I am paying $480/month for 6 years. Not the best deal but I am saving almost $300 bucks between payment and gas from my last car (Dodge Durango V8).
The best part was that when I pick up my car, they were throwing an opening party and I was invited, so there was food and booze for free.... Full VIP treatment...

As far as I know, the spoiler is an option the dealer will install. It does not come from factory with it. Mine did not have the spoiler when I bought it but I ordered at the dealer. It was installed 1 and a half weeks after I bought it. The price of the spoiler was included to the price of the car for the insurance to cover it if something happens.

Hello everyone!

This is actually my first post on this forum! Or actually, my first post on any forum for that matter! I guess that goes to show how much love I have for the forte koup, ye-ya!

I live in Los Angeles, CA and paid $21,500 out the door (i.e., including tax, destination fee, and everything else) for my SX koup auto. The sunroof was the only option (or is it even an option b/c i thought every sx came with a sunroof).

The 21.5 was the result of a loooot of hard bargaining, going to like 5 different dealerships for a period of an entire week. :D

My first post too!

I got a price of US $19,790 but it was the EX (with AT). The dealer was great, low pressure and all, but they had only the 1 car :(

I'm going to another dealer this week... this dealer seems to have higher prices than the first one... do I offer the price that I come back with on the web and then leave my card if he won't take it? Do I tell him I want less than that price?

yes! definitely mention the price offered by the other dealer and tell him that i won't buy unless you go lower than that. and if the dealer doesn't budge, give him your card and LEAVE. I guarantee you he will call you the next day.

also, on the ex sedan, you should be able to haggle it down way more than. i know this b/c when i was first looking to buy a car, i looked in the forte sedan ex before i got my koup sx. I was able to haggle down the sedan ex to $18,900 out the door (i swear i am not lying)! I know, the price was crazy but i refused to take it b/c i fell in love with the koup, which for some reason i hadn't noticed before.

Remember, with car negotiations, the more of the salesman's time you waste, the cheaper you will get your car!

Edit:
When you said ex, i thought u were referring to the sedan for some reason. ne whoo, the above still applies. haggle with the salesman for so long that he will eventually get annoyed with you and sell u the car for dirt cheap!

True words, I was there for almost 6 hours and I got 17,400 USD on my SX koup with sunroof.

Thank you for giving me hope. They ordered a Koup SX (no extras) for me at the dealership I've been looking at. The Dealer seems nice enough but I know he wants to make as much as possible too. I'm thinking he'll say 19.5k to start. I have a 97 mercury sable that was my moms car that she bought new from this dealership. it has 97k miles on it and is fully loaded. I'm hoping to get atleast 1k for it. After trade-in, the 500 cash back, I'm gunna try and get it for 18.5k out the door.

Anyone think I should start lower and work my way up? Any other tips on my specific situation would be a great help, I'm trying to be prepared as possible.

i got a black SX Koup
6-speed
GAP insurance

LoJack
and because they didnt have the corsa clue that i wanted i made them give me custom seats. so as we speak they are installing:
Black Leather/Sapphire Suede Interior. (they had to call in a custom upholstery shop)

i should be getting back today

Yeah well now I'm pissed and convinced these dealers are rip offs... the first dealer never even emailed me back when I made an offer of $21k out the door, when the web clearly shows $18890. 11% on top of that comes to $20967.90, I think $21k is more than fair because this is MSRP... the dealer is ALREADY making money at this price.

I've got another dealer to go to, but his prices are several thousand dollars more than what the web shows, so I'm not holding out any hope.
