Bought mine for sticker (20,240) after tax and such, it came to 23xxx. I put 8k down, and they gave me 2k for my pos blazer. Since the car wasn't available in PA at the time I bought it from boardman Ohio and the delivered it for free and picked up my trade. Then the beat my banks Apr by 3% so I have a 4.5% Apr for 60 or 72mths (cant remember which).... bringing the grand total to like 192 a month.

But now the local dealer here is selling them for 3-4k under sticker.
Lucky! I wanted a Copperhead SX with the 6MT, but no more were coming our way with leather.

This thread would be infinitely more helpful if people posted prices like they do on some other sites I've seen:

Post the MSRP of the model you chose and then go line by line with what you paid for base price, whether that price included any special rebates or incentives, whether there was a trade-in and how much that accounted for the final price, what you paid in "doc fees" or any other dealership specific fees, etc. Then give the grand total before and after any "state specific" tax, title and registration.

That way, we get a much clearer view of what we can expect in negotiations.

Simply saying, I got an EX koupe for X out the door isn't really helpful unless we know the full context.

Thanks.

I got my manual koup SX fully loaded. MSRP is $20,425.
I got the $1000 rebate, and worked the dealer down to $16,200.
With tax and tags, ended up paying $18,526.
There was a huge problem finding a manual SX anywhere within 200 miles of me though, so I think the dealer just got frustrated and gave the first SX that came in..with the extra options for free. =)

Lovin the deal I got:

2010 Forte Koup EX
Spicy Red Exterior/Stone Interior
Automatic
Options: Sunroof, Cargo Net, Cargo Tray, EC Mirror w/ compass

MSRP = $19,285.

My purchase price after going back and forth 3x in the dealership and then going home and waiting for their call (Mass dealership) = $15,500

They gave me $10,000 for my trade, which I only paid $18,000 for 4 years ago (07 camry)
Tax, title and reg = $448.75
Doc fees = $285

How much was the discount for prior ownership? I could have gotten $2k off mine, but my grand am and monte carlo were both 2001's and the discount only covered back to 2003. Toyota Camry was on that list.
Are you talking about the "competitive vehicle" rebate? Camry is only on the list for other "like" sedans such as the Optima....not the Forte Koup. If you have a scion tc or civic si, you can get the competitive rebate towards a koup. Not a Camry though.
