Product Development: Need Test Car

3611 Views 31 Replies 18 Participants Last post by  AG_admin
We are a performance shop located in La Center, WA (Portland, Oregon area) and we are very interested in building some parts for your Fortes. At this point we have a stainless steel brake hose kit ready for production, but we need someone local to bring their car in to test fit.

These lines are high quality, DOT approved, and a sure-fire improvement over stock. They will increase pedal feel, greatly decrease brake fade, and last much longer than factory rubber hoses.

We are also very interested in producing other parts, intakes, exhaust, radiators, sway bars, strut bars, turbo kits, anything!

Please have a look at our website for an idea of some of our current projects. if you have any questions please feel free to contact me on the forum or directly, via email.

Sorry about that, for some reason my signature didn't show up, maybe now?
dam. being a test vehicle would have been nice if i where close.
How long would you need the vehicle for? I may be back in Portland in the next week or so visiting family.
Ideally overnight, that would give us some time to draw up a couple of things in CAD, we would be happy to give you a ride anywhere you need to go, and come pick you up.

Are there any other parts you'd like for your car?

A short shifter!
I'm in the Portland area right now. I might be interested in this. PM me.
dash kit so I can change my damn headunit already... we need the harnesses to connect the wheel controls, ipod controls, and bluetooth as well for the dash kit..
cat back exhaust
strut tower braces and the like?
I'll field test anything you want to send out to me=]
I can just install it on the lifts at my school and make videos and the like?
Larger throttle body. Metal hi flow intake manifold. SS brake lines would be awesome.

agree with the larger throttle body... but y would u want a metal intake manifold?
and second the ss brake lines, I forgot to write that lol
that'd be great
Thanks to all for the response! This forum looks to be a great resource, I look forward to working with you all in the near future. We are very excited to begin working on this car. If it works out with SubtleStyle, we should have some cool new products available very soon.

Short Shifter: There is a good likelihood that we will be able to come up with something. The only concern would be keeping it affordable (NOT made in China)

Calipers/Rotors: If you're thinking some kind of big-brake kit, or a Wilwood setup, we could definitely do it if the interest is there.

Dash Kit: We have discussed possibly getting into some fiberglass work like vehicle specific speaker/amp solutions, at this point it's pretty far down the list, but that's not to say we won't do it. If we can get a car to work with we may be able to come up with something. I would recommend trying a good local stereo shop first.

Cat-Back Exhaust: This is absolutely on the to-do list, we want to offer a cat back as well as high-flow catalyst pipes and cat-less test or "track" pipes.

Larger Throttle Body/ Intake Manifold: We will be designing and producing a Cold Air Intake as soon as possible. I am not familiar enough with the factory manifold design to determine the advantages of increasing throttle body size alone, but it is certainly something I'll look into. And very much something we are capable of offering in the future.

Again, many thanks for the replies, and if anyone has any other ideas they'd like to throw out there, feel free. We are very open to anything, even if it's billet training wheels for your nieces huffy.

ok- from being out of the whole racer/tuner/mod crowd for over 15 years..
i gotta say this-

these guys are a very small cog in the very big world......
and they are too damn far from me......

i def think that they have the gumption to pull it off........that is- if there is ever enough of a kia nation to back them.
i am not one of their paid employees- i merely read everything that they showed on their website-

(and nameless- you gotta roll and recover from the punch...and that was one-- we all hate deadlinks)
Yes, I was reffering to a Big Brake kit with 4 piston calipers :D

maybe stronger and better flow characteristics if some good engineering goes into it

Joey- Thank you for the positive encouragement. We are in fact a very small company, merely made up of three die hard enthusiasts with a passion to create, and a hunger for performance. The advantage of being such a small operation is that we are able to focus on the product quality and more importantly our customer relations. This is something that will always be of the utmost importance even as we grow. High quality parts, made in America, by REAL people that really care.

Location is tough as far as test vehicle development goes, but once in production we offer very reasonable shipping, we have parts on cars ranging from right here locally all the way to New Zealand.

I don't really know which punches we have to recover from, unless you mean my missing link in the first post :( woops! You are right though, there's always ups and downs, especially when offering new products to an up and coming market. I trust that these cars will only become more popular as they're just too cool not to!

Very possible. I'll have to get a good look at the stock setup and look into some different solutions.

Interesting concept indeed, gets the gears turning in the old cranium. As I said before it is something we are very much equipped to produce and I'll put it on my list.
