I was wondering...

The Canadian Fortes have the immobilizer because it's the law in Canada and the US Fortes have the alarm.

Would it be possible to just swap the Keyless module from a US car in to a Canadian car to get the best of both worlds? The reason why I didn't want to go After market is I want to keep the electronics in the car as OEM as possible to keep warranty issues to a minimal. Not to mention the switch blade key mod is already pretty cool.

If you are looking for the Quick key and push button start. That system requires like over 30 different components all over the car. I have asked about this as well. By the time you buy the components and install it will be a very costly mod.

No no I read that too. I was just thinking of putting the Keyless module from a US car in to a Canadian car. I'm not sure if you know but the Canadian cars have the immobilizer while the US cars have the alarm system but no immobilizer.

I figured it would be as simple as taking the keyless module from a US car and popping in to a Canadian car then take it to the dealer and have them do the transponder relearn. Then you'll have the immobilizer and alarm. You shouldn't need any other parts for the alarm as it uses the horn and other existing sensors on the car.
