There are a few things from the SX-R kit that i would like.

Anyone have an idea when they should be available in the U.S.?

Never! We are going to keep them all in Canada!! Muhahaha!!...
US residents can order the R-Spec parts from a Canadian Dealer using Canada Koup SX-R bulletin AY10 007.

I can, however you will have to pm me for the specials we have on for the initial release as I am not allowed to post on here.

Cheers,
SOUL4U
P.S. These are exclusively Canadian so you will not find them anywhere else.

You'll need to contact your local Dealership and ask them if their having any promotions for the initial realease of these parts.
i asked my local kia dealer in town and they dont even know that the sx-r was even being made
The dealerships dont know much about the car as a whole as well. I knew more about it when I walked in to get my koup.
K so i called one of the dealers here in Calgary and this is the quotes that he gave me (in CAD):
Front Skirts: $475
Side Skirts: $475
Rear spoiler: $564
"R" badge sill plates: $94.85
Performance exhaust: $574
Performance Filter: $60

Also the ktis and the spoiler needs to be painted and installed so extra costs are added. Quite expensive.

I've been calling other dealers but they're the first one to give me a set price. He didn't mention anything about packages so I dunno. I must've misquoted him since he's on speaker and i couldn't hear him properly. But i'm 90% sure those are the numbers that he quoted. But yeah if anyone else heard about other dealers' pricing let us know!

Which dealer did you call, and did they mention lowering springs at all? I got mine from Kia City and they seemed pretty clueless...

600$ for an unpainted spoiler!!!!! LoL

I phoned/emailed 3 dealers here and quoted relatively the same prices as i mentioned in the previous post. They're Eastside Kia, Northland, and Kia City here in Calgary. Sent an email to their parts managers.

And I asked for the lowering springs but they said what they gave were the only ones they have. One of the parts person in the Northland Kia (Calgary) told me that Kia scrapped the strut bar and lowering springs kit. He wasn't sure why though.
$100 the funniest/saddest price is $100 for the "R" plates... What a joke. It seems that these should be free to those that buy the package.

Also, no discount for the entire package? That seems weak too.
Maybe the steep prices include shipping, since they'd have to order it from Ontario then ship to Calgary.. I dunno, i just didn't expect the prices to be THAT expensive. And yeah the price for an unpainted spoiler is whack. Doesn't include labor + paint too.
But there "performance" exasut and intake wont void our US warranty will it?

The strut bar and lowering springs were scrapped from the SX-R kit at the request of Kia Korea.

From what I've heard they're selling the "R" emblems for $60 a pair as well.
Any reasoning behind scrapping the strut bar and lowering springs? Performance issues or just considered "excessive"?

With those prices, I will happily wait for the aftermarket to catch up and get a front lip for half that price...
My understanding from this package is as follows;
If you order only one component, it costs you X amount.
If you order 1-2, you get X% as a discount.
If you order 3+, you get a larger X% discount off the retail price.

So the more you order at once, the more discount you get...similar to a group buy if you'd like.

As for the Eibach springs (the original ones that were meant for the 'R' package) can be ordered through Northern Motorsport. www.northernmotorsport.com
Call: 1-800-263-8621 and ask for Johnny.
Mention that your a member of ForteForums...or tell him Eddie sent you...either way works.
Sorry, I do not know what they cost.
Believe it or not, their shipment arrived today. They'll be available starting Monday.

I'll figure out where you can obtain the original 'R' strut brace from and let you all know.

With these Eibach springs, will factory height shocks still work? Or will they wear out faster?

And, any reason they're not offered on the SX-R anymore?
