I went in to have my Koup quoted for a matte black vinyl overlay for the hood and roof (inspired by Soar4fun). Turns out our hoods are fairly hard to overlay due to the contours on the edges. So I figured I might go another route after I stumbled upon a picture I found online... I want to get some opinions on what the Koup community thinks though, before I go and do this, because I value what other Koup owners think. All ass-kissing aside, just give me your honest opinions. Much obliged!

Here is a link to the stripe design I want to do. Ignore the car, just picture the stripe design on a red Koup. And, I want to reverse the design by keeping the hood red with a black stripe, then do the roof with the red cutout stripe.

Personally it's a nay , I think that racing strips belong to ,well , a race car
The Koup doesn't need a lot of cosmetic work to look good , It DOES LOOK GOOD already.

Those racing stripes I do not like. That spoiler doesn't help it either... I did kind of a mock up drawing I'm going to take down on Monday and see what kind of price they give me. Then maybe I can get some pictures with the stripe design that I posted above taped to my car. Thanks for the honesty though, I'm still on the fence about it...

Racing stripes are ricer on imports, and believe me Kia's don't have a very good tradition so far in the import community. So please lets make this one at least turn the company around and start becoming reputable. If your going to do anything and your koup isn't black overlay the roof with vinyl and hood until cf becomes avail. If you need some photoshop help send me piks of your car and I can shop lips and anything you want minus wheels, I am pretty good lmk.

My Silver Sx has 2 6" black, 1/2" space, 1/2" stripe w/ 6" spacing between just like the black koup pictured earlier in this thread but thinner large strip. By using 6" spacing between I did not have to cut aroun emblems. The gloss black in the grill really makes the strips pop. My stripes cover all silver including the space between grill opennings.
