Hello All, I've looked through the threads trying to find anyone who put in a new radio but kept the factory amp. I found none and I was not able to keep the factory amp in use. I did find a way to install a new Android headunit that has navigation, steering wheel controls and not have to cut any factory wires to install. I was able to run 4 wires from the speaker out on the headunit and then connect them to the factory speakers without having to take off the door panels. Here is what I got. These were mostly from Amazon and 1 from Walmart and had free returns in case they were not correct. The sound is equivalent to the factory headunit (IMHO).

1. Headunit - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09G9PK3XP (I bought the 3 year protection plan also)

2. 16 pin harness - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X7DGHPR (I think you can wire them together except for the speaker wires; purple, white, green and gray pairs, which you will connect to the 18 gauge wire. I chose to depin the colors I needed and add them to the cars harness but that may not be necessary)

3. Metra 70-7305 Amplifier Bypass Wiring - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065GG5NO (you will only need the one with the smaller connector)

4. 18 Gauge Speaker wire - Robot or human?

The headunit is mostly plug and play for the Kia Forte but you will need to connect the 18 gauge wires (about 11 ft each pair) to the purple, white, green and gray pairs on the 16 pin harness and the amp bypass (the one with the smaller connector). I ran the wires along the passenger side after popping off the door sills then up to under the dash ( I took out the glove box for room). On the amp bypass harness you will have four wires that connect to the tweeters on the front doors. i just connected them to the corresponding connections for front left and right.

I hope this helps someone who is looking to put in a new radio but didn't want to cut up the factory wires.

I've read bad reviews with worse quality build & use from people that bought those stereos for their vehicles.

They regret & sell them. I almost fell for those. Glad I didn't after reading so many bad reviews.
I bought and returned a few of them while trying to see if I could get the sound through the 24 pin connector on the factory radio. I noticed that they all worked fine with no random shut downs or other malfunctions. Just in case things go south I have the 3 year warranty.
