I have a new Forte5 that has a rattling sound emanating from the rear hatch. I had it in to the dealership and they adjusted the hatch rubber stops which fixed the problem temporarily. Unfortunately it starts again soon after. I have repeatedly adjusted the stops, but I am hoping there is a more permanent fix. I think the rattle is the latch vibrating over bumps in the road.

My hatch has a rattle in the back and I believe it has to do with the latches for the seat backs of the rear seats, not the hatch itself. Try putting the rear seats down and see if it goes away or changes tone.

My 2010 Koup has a rattle in the back too. Sounds EXACTLY like loose stabilizer bushings, except the car doesn't have them :) I've been too lazy to investigate, but I'll def check the latches (thanks for the tip Nova).

Tried it with the seats down and it made no difference that I could tell. After adjusting rubber stops on hatch it stops but only for a little while. Not a big deal just irritating
