REPLACEMENT ENGINE ALTERNATIVE'S??

Hello all, new to the forteforum and I'm here seeking advise.
So I own a 2013 Forte with the2.0 GDI engine, yes I know there crap engines. Acknowledged! Lol just saying so I don't have a hundred people tell me those engines are crap, I know! But I digress. I'm trying to figure out if the 2.0 l beta from the first generation Kia soul or the Hyundai Tiburon. Reason being besides the shit engine in my FORTE it's a kewl car, basically unlimitedly amount of options to customize or personalize it on shark racing, so if anyone has any suggestions on a replacement alternative to the factory GDI unit it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Btw not a swap for like racing or performance but rather reliability and ability to service all the parts and eliminate that bullshit GDI

I'm not aware of 2013 Kia Fotes having a 2.0 GDI engine. I thought they only came with the 2.0 MPI (LX EX) or 2.4 MPI (SX) engines. Is it possible Canadian 2013 Fortes came with a GDI engine?

They don't come with those, I was asking if those were a possible engine for compatibility with the transmission as far as bolting them together. The engine in the car is blown and because GDIs being crap and the 2.0 Tiburon engines are great so was hoping I can fit one to my FORTE lol

It's not simply bolting to the transmission that you'll find problems with your idea! Don't forget the engine Control Module (ECM) "talks" to the transmission module...and your car's ECM won't work with other engines. You can shoe-horn or sledge-hammer another engine in, but you'll also have to do computer software work.

You may want to look into the actual engine you have. I'm almost certain that it's an MPI and not a GDI engine.
