the flying sideways guillotine of death?

;)

not only do the pedestrians on the sidewalks have to worry about limbs being lopped off- but the people in the car-- a head on crash- that thing will make any forte and the people inside---- convertables. lol
Actually in the event of a collision detection the wing adjust to lift the car over the incident.

I love the hood, but I would want it painted the color of my car. It would probably be cheaper for me to have vents added to my stock hood.

750$ for the vented one, not bad it looks really good. I could have got it but I just put like 7-8 hundred in the car for stereo upgrade. Have to save up some more, this is exactly what I've been looking for for quite some time now wish I had seen it sooner.

i'm sorry the vented one looks crap. It shouldn't sit that high over the hood. It'll look a thousand times better sitting flush. Looks like the extra vents you can buy off Autozone, and just stick on.

Example of flush vents:

Well that's what I really want, I've been looking for months but can't find one. Figured I'd settle and at least support the aftermarket for the Forte/Koup. Maybe some one will make one like that. Sure would help, my engine bay get really hot down here in FL. and of course it would just BA.

You'd paint a carbon fibre hood?!

That thing looks AWESOME! Don't know if that's exactly where I'm going with mine, but... hmmm...

The wing, otoh, does nothing for me whatsoever

Here's my question:... What's it suppose to vent? From what i can see, it's just another dust collector for the engine compartment. A real functional air intake should direct air to the air filter housing just in front of the driver. Now there's a cold air intake for you!

I don't want a hood that looks like carbon fibre. It looks good, but it is not for me. So, yes, I would paint a carbon fibre hood if I had to go that route. You would still have the vents if that is what you were after and a lighter hood.

Having said that, I have no intention of buying the hood, painted or not. As I said, it would be cheaper to just buy vents for the stock hood and I am not worried about the weight.
