I personally do not like chrome rims. Most chrome rims are usually cheaply done in Mexico or China, so to me, chrome is worse than ricey, it's just tacky. Have a little more class than that. Polished aluminum is a great substitution though. Otherwise I prefer powdercoat or dark schemed paint. For your car, I prefer these models:

XXR 1 (Machined w/ Black) - Starting Price: $120
DBL-G 105 (Black Flat) - Starting Price: $219
DBL-G 105 (W/ Bezel) (Black Flat) - Starting Price: $261
I guess looking at the picture they could be mistaken for chrome, but they're actually machine finish w/ black. So it's more of a titanium look. Kind of similar to the XXR-1 color scheme
im not a fan of them either... sorry man
but im not a shiny kind of guy either haha

i plan on going with teh TSW nurburgrings
here's a pic of them on a dark car cuz i know you're is black
i personally like the matte black and i think any of the options of this wheel would look killer on yours

and i agree with the above, the belt and shoes should match. a shiny wheel on a black isnt my taste.

Nice, yeah I like those...The didn't think the matte black would look good on the car but I like the contrast.
Hey Aiden, the third picture, what rims are those?
They're not bad rims, but I agree with the others, chrome rims (or rims that look like chrome) should stick with luxury cars and SUV's/Trucks. Chromes on sportier, compact cars just doesn't look racy.

I prefer dark matte wheels for looks, and Volk racings for specifics.
hmm...I guess I have till next spring to come around on the all black look :)...just not my thing right now lol...but I see what you guys are sayin with the chromish look
I prefer a little contrast and went with some black wheels with the Titanium body color. I'm not a big fan of the chrome look but for some reason I really like it on black cars, I think you should go for it.
just take the silver inserts off your stock wheels... thats all i did and they look epic
hazmat, I was thinking about doing that too, as my stock rims are going to stay on this winter. Then the new ones will go on next spring.

On another note, I emailed sharkracing.com and they told me these would definitely fit on my car, but I wouldn't be able to get the staggered set, so they would all be 18x8. I like these alot too.

Shark Racing
what are you looking at in wheel size? 18's and 19's?
18's for sure....we don't have the greatest roads here in Illinois...You'll find that out when you come here, they're terrible!! The rims I found on sharkracing are 18's
well ive been to bloomingdale, chicago, and rockford but i dont remember what the roads are like lol we'll be flying too so unfortunately, wont be bringing the koup... boo
but i say get whatever you want for wheels! and i think 18's are as high as id go and the tsw's i want are the matte black ones and i'll be going 18x8
Sweet...well enjoy your visit. If you're there for a weekend visit you guys should definitely look into going to a U of I (univeristy of Illinios) football game. Good times!

Thanks for the tips though....I prolly won't go with Chrome..But I really like the sharkracing rims...hopefully they're still around come March/April
I'm in the minority- I hate the black, matte, or any other colored wheels. I like the chrome rims if the design is right. To me, many of the popular designs that people are using do not look good to me-- but I guess everyone has their own taste so we should all be respectful of each other :)

After saying all that- I have been tempted to look at the black chrome rims, but I can't get over my hatred for dark rims on a car.

The reason I don't like dark rims is because it is hard to tell the difference from the rim and tire. Also, the design is hard to see-not enough contrast- so to me it is a total waste of money. Just my opinion and I realize I'm in the minority. Sorry if I offended anyone :p

I do have to agree with you on the "not enough contrast" bit. I do love black and matte rims, but yes, if it's hardly noticeable (especially on a dark car), then it would feel like a waste. Rims are placed to be noticed, not to blend in. (At least, not for me haha)

My rim preference are black but shaped so that they CAN be seen. Like this Volks:

Black, matte, but slap that on a colored or light colored car with some red calipers and they pop like crazy. I'm a not a big fan of rims that had a lot of stems or legs or whatever they're called. It sort of blends in together at some points.

lol...hey no need to apologize!! That's what we're all about here, being individuals expressing our opinions! I'm with you AmericanKoupKorea...I've never been a fan of black on black rims for the same reasons you don't like them, but I think all chrome is too gaudy. I'm trying to find a fine line in between
