Rotary swap using 2013 Nissan 370z rwd drive train and transmission

I have done some digging around recently and I’ve found some information that could be useful to doing any engine swaps on our beloved 1st gens with a 61.6” rear track(same as 2013 nissan370z!). I want to find a salvageable mazda rotary to revive, get a cheap totaled 2013 370z manual on co part hopefully anything with front end damage will have a salvageable trans and rear drive train. I’ll get this adapter for it- Mazda Rotary 13B 20B 26B to Nissan 6 Speed 350Z 370Z 350ZHR 370ZHR Transmission Adaptation Kit
Hopefully the space in the engine bay is plenty, I need to look into dimensions to know if this would even swap in. I need to figure out what to do with the from wheel drive of the Kia, what to replace it with. I know it’s a lot of welding but that’s what I’m currently in school for. Anyway please let me know if any suggestions,(i’m new to the form but I’ve been a ghost for a 2 years)

as I’m rebuilding this rotary I’m trying to figure out a way to weld a platform to bolt the bracket on. Any suggestions? There is a lot of space down there. Fuel tank will be removed and I’ll either go with a fuel cell or swap it with a Nissan one. I can cut the spare tire well out if I can’t get everything under there snug.

This is a tremendous fabrication job... If you are seriously looking for fabrication suggestions on a forum then you are doomed already.. I have been building customs and classics for 25+ years and have never heard anyone capable of doing work like this say “I’m trying to figure out a way” and not even 2% into the project yet. With all due respect you’ve done this 25 years which means you had to start somewhere. This is my somewhere. This is the line of work I want to get into, people awd Honda civic hatches all the time. Why not a Kia? I might have questions now but that doesn’t mean I’m clueless. Like I said before I know it’s a huge challenge but this is something that could be huge for the Kia boys so why try to stop me before I even try? I’m up to $400 in g37 rear suspension parts I just need to go pick them up locally. This is by no means my daily driver. I drive a 1.6t optima. This is strictly a roller because I love the body so much and want to be unique. Plans are to get the rear end swapped so I can turn this into a one of a kind drift hatch. I would appreciate any pointers you have for fabricating a bracket for the g37 rear to fit on. its fair to say I would need to add extension points from the body to make it fit. If so would it be easier if I cut out the rear mount points on a g37 and weld those on the Kia or would a custom fab part be absolutely necessary?

Won’t know if I need to extend the frame rail or not till I get the g37 suspension underneath it. Would box steel hold the integrity of the frame?
