The seat covers are removable. If you have a day or two that you can go without use of the car, I suggest you remove the seat, then the cover and hand wash in laundry detergent.

I got really nice custom seat covers, but they are a bit pricey. http://www.forteforums.com/forums/body-kits-appearance/487-custom-blue-black-seat-covers-sedan.html

Also, now on ebay are oem seat covers from dealer salvage: They are really great for very low price. I would have considered these, if they had been available at the time I ordered the custom ones.

I just ordered my seat covers from covers4auto.com
Automobile Car Seat Covers| Custom Car Covers| Floor Mats and Dash Covers

Products look good, and they are very affordable. Lots of different colors and materials. They have the cutouts for the seat airbag, and the website said they are easy to install.

For my EX sedan, they said I'd have to lift and remove the kickguard from under the front seats or something in order to get the cover to slide on, so we'll see how that goes when they get here.

I use a product called Armor All carpet and upholstery, available everywhere, Canadian Tire up here in Ontario. I'm a coffee spiller from Tim Hortons everyday and it works really well. A little spray and blot up and the stain is gone. Even if it sits for a while. Only about $5 bucks.
