Went to Mike Shaw Kia to see how much for front drive side & passenger side seatbelt locking mechanisms.
Was told $1,000 for passenger side (RH) & $800 for driver side (LH). WTF?!

All because of the motherf*cking sensors on everything put in cars & the motherf*ckers that welcome god damn technology. God damn computers, C drives, sensors on sensors on sensors monitoring sensors.

Headlights, transmissions, engines, suspensions, exhausts, stereos, infotainments, phablets, door handles, HVAC, vents. Driving a god damn computer that will crash & f*ck up without notice & be blamed when the transmission or the headlights need an update, WTF?!

F*ck, I miss the older cars. They were built better than these pos plastic sh*t built fragile ass vehicles with sh*tty worthless & Varying warranties to better screw the consumer by stealerships.

From my 2010 kia Forte Koup SX 2.4L. Both went bad, weren't locking anymore, weren't auto retracting & making the god damn mil seatbelt go off.

Went to the junk/salvage yard. Got lucky with a 2012 Kia Forte EX sedan. The plug in sensor is at the bottom instead at the top like the original 2010 locking mechanisms. Paid $40.00.

Paid $40.00 for a pair of seatbelt locking mechanism from a 2010 Hyundai sonata. These fit the 2010 kia Forte Koup SX. Bought them just in case the 2012 kia Forte EX sedan seatbelt locking mechanism give out. I've only had 2012 installed for a week.

Had to remove the old 2010 & 2012 belts out to install my 2010 belt into 2012 seatbelt locking mechanism. Wasn't fun. The tension on these are easily messed up if one let's the spool go.

As for the 2010 Hyundai sonata seatbelt locking mechanisms, I'm keeping them oem & hoping the 2012's last a very long time. DTC's/codes gone after I cleared airbag event.

Paid $80.00 for both 2012 Kia Forte EX sedan & 2010 Hyundai sonata seatbelt locking mechanism.
